Specialization

Here, you're allowed to choose your opening specialization: fight, magic, forage, craft. It's not clear how important choosing these right up front is, as you get to play with these skills more once you've dropped into the world proper. Basically, by choosing a specialization, you're equipping your character with an additional tool that gives a bonus when attempting your specialization; in this case, as a Forager, the Extraction and Prospection actions.
